Congratulations to Melainie and to the entire boys cross country team for two wonderful races. Congratulations to all athletes for a wonderful and successful year. Not many athletes get to participate at sectional meets, much less at the state level, and you should all be proud of your accomplishments this season.
Here is a direct link to the results for all races held today at Woodward Park:

Cross Country Athletes and Families!
Tomorrow, Wednesday, November 4th, is picture day at Ribera. Every athlete should bring his/her jacket (from the cross country uniform) and have it ready to wear for a few photos.
Thursday, November 5th, we compete at the MTAL( Mission Trails Athletic League Championship) meet. The meet begins with Varsity Boys competing at 2:00 pm, Varsity Girls (and JV Girls) competing around 2:30 pm, and finally JV Boys competing a little after 3:00 pm. Come and cheer on our teams. The meet is being held at Toro Park (take Highway One north from CHS, right turn on to 68 east towards Salinas, after about 12 1/2 miles turn right at the Portola Drive exit - Toro Park is immediately on the right.)
Finally, Thursday will be the last day of the season for JV runners (except anyone who is an alternate for a varsity team). So, after Thursday's meet JV runners can start working out with their winter sports team on Friday or enjoy some time off. Be sure to pick up a copy of your emergency card for your winter sport from the athletic office before reporting to practice with your next coach.
Our closing awards banquet for Cross Country 2009 will take place Thursday, December 3rd. It will be a potluck dinner again. The athletes should receive flyers tomorrow at practice. I will also send out emails at the end of November to remind everyone of the banquet.
GO PADRES!
